Q Analysts is one of the fastest growing IT Consulting Firms. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Director of Automation for 12+ Month contract to hire project that we are delivering for one of our clients located in Pleasanton, CA. Our client is a national non-profit Healthcare leader who is leading the way in technology, medical innovation, research and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

* Oversight of 10+ automation engineering staff and service delivery
* Oversight of $2M project budget for services and infrastructure
* Continuous improvement, standards development, and process engineering to support improvements in service delivery.
* Governance of team services
* Project status update and risk management leadership

Required Skills:

* Executive communication skills

* Experience with functional and performance automation delivery
* Development service delivery experience
* Able to present to executives
* Experience managing and on/off shore contractor pool
* 8 years of management experience overseeing an engineering team of >10 staff (Development, Performance automation, or functional automation)
* Team budget management
* Staff development, goals, and performance management
* Customer stakeholder management
* Service line development
* Proposal and Business case development
* Customer and vendor negotiation of service contracts
* Service oversight and delivery management


* 8 years of experience developing and delivering performance and functional automation services.
* 5 years of experience building and overseeing the maintenance of an automation test lab.
* BA degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
* 8 years of experience supporting DevOps and Agile teams with automation services.
* 3 years of development experience.
* 3 years of experience with system performance monitoring and diagnostic tools.
* Excellent communication skills. Expected to present to executives, customers, and management peers

Desired Skills:

* Development of enterprise automation standards and governance infrastructure (Policies, procedures, archives, audits, reporting)
* Master's Degree in computer science
* Tool experience with any of the following: Loadrunner, Dynatrace, Performance Center, UFT, LISA, Selenium, TestPlant, Perfecto Mobile, Jira, Jenkins, Urban Code, Quality Center, Rally
* Quality Assurance, quality control, or quality management certifications
* Tool certifications that apply to automation, system monitoring, continuous improvement, or architecture
* UFT, Loadrunner, Perfecto Mobile, Selenium, EggPlant
* Jira, Jenkins, Quality Center, Rational Suite, Urban code
* Statistical analysis tools
