Job Description

The Systems Quality Test Engineer will be based in Irving, TX. If you are a Test Engineer or a Systems Engineer with a strong background in testing of systems including mechanical, electrical and software test, apply now!

In this position, you will be responsible for requirements review, product test strategy and definition for all phases of development, providing direction to project test engineers, performing test equipment/test software requirements definition, test results analysis and test reporting. You will collaborate with the Project Systems Engineer, technical owner of the project.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

* Test strategy definition for entire product development cycle.
* Product requirement reviews including system, electrical, mechanical and software requirements.
* Specify test equipment and test software requirements.
* Support project level test planning.
* FMEA reviews.
* Perform product integrity testing for compliance and reliability against test plans.
* Write test plans and test reports.
* Perform laboratory equipment maintenance.
* Manage calibration of laboratory equipment.
* Create test automation and data processing tools.
* Assist in the creation of new test methods and new test equipment setups.
* Collect and manage product and test data.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

* Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of related experience, including 5 years' experience with medical pumps, surgical equipment design and test.
* Systems/Electrical/Computer engineering background in product development (design).
* Systems/Product testing experience.
* Test equipment specification and/or design.
* Understanding of electromechanical interrelationships such as electrical motor control and mechanical operation.
* Experience managing teams - technical direction.
* Understanding of requirement to test traceability.
* Understanding of real-time systems concepts (threading/tasking, priorities, contention, etc.)
