Job Description

Engility is recruiting for a Systems Integration SME for our FDA Scientific program. The candidate will be supporting the FDA program in the mission to configure pilot platforms and pre-production environments for the Electronic Laboratory Notebook program. The Systems Integration SME will collaborate with the stakeholders and ELN vendors to configure the products and assist in hardening the software and hardware to meet FDA specifications. In addition the Systems Deployment SME will deploy the selected solution after the pilot is complete.

The individual will be responsible for and/or have the following credentials to include, but not limited to:

* Work directly with the customer to gather program requirements
* Work directly with the vendors to configure and deploy new systems
* Respond to user calls regarding hardware and software problems, correcting or ensuring that problems are escalated when required. Communicate with users and senior management the status of key problem statuses
* Assist customers with evaluation and recommendation of vendors
* Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
* Coordinate with IA team for security audits, risk analysis, vulnerability test and security reviews
* VMware and general hypervisor management experience
* Server and laptop hardware support and deployment experience
* Extensive experience working in an enterprise environment
* Heavy experience with automation and digitizing workflows
* Build and maintain OS images along with associated automation, tooling and quality control
* Measure, monitor and optimize hardware utilization
* Document workflows, processes, procedures, configurations and use cases
* Configure, run and measure load profiles via test automation and scripting
* Adhere to and optimize service management principles (change/incident/problem management, CMDB)
* Perform hands-on repair of equipment and maintenance/installation of computing infrastructure
* Additional responsibilities will include: End user documentation and training, computer moves and deployments, and additional duties as assigned.

This position does require the individual to obtain an FDA public trust clearance.
