Job Description

Description:The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Signals Reconnaissance program Systems Engineering team working to define, architect, design, develop, integrate, test and sell-off products to the customer. A firm understanding of Systems Engineering processes and principles will be required to participate in cross-discipline engineering teams on the technical execution of the Signals Reconnaissance projects.

Candidate will work closely with Program and Engineering Management, and other Technical Leads. The candidate will have experience developing and maintaining a requirements baseline, performing requirements flow down and allocation to architecture and development phases. The candidate will have the ability to create/modify system design artifacts per the requirements baseline, define requirements for test infrastructure, perform integration and test activities, and analyze data to ultimately sell-off requirements and deliver complex systems. The candidate will be responsible for the definition of test and evaluation strategies and the corresponding planning and execution of detailed Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) plans from specifications.

This position is based in Littleton, CO Deer Creek facility with occasional travel.

Basic Qualifications:

Qualified candidate will have 3 to 5 years of Systems Engineering experience including systems requirement analysis and decomposition, development of Acceptance Criteria, ICD definition, requirement verification, impact assessment, and trade study definition/execution, TPM analysis and critical method analysis. Must possess demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering as well as the ability to properly prioritize, status, and work multiple tasks. Experience within the SIGINT or Fusion domain. Familiarity with DOORs and JIRA is highly desirable. It is ideal that the candidate have full life-cycle software development System Engineering support experience, to include working knowledge of the Waterfall and Agile methodology.

Qualified candidate reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Must be a proficient communicator to all skill levels, and be able to work in a variety of environments. Applicants will work closely with users and developers to define required changes to system requirements, assess impact of changes, and develop viable solutions. Must be self-motivated and work under general supervision, have the ability to multi-task, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Candidate must be able to work with a diverse team of highly skilled engineers, including junior and senior engineers and subcontractors. Applicants should expect to be assigned tasks to investigate, propose solutions for, and close on technical topics of interest to the customer and to the program.

Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:

Experience with requirements tracking and bug tracking tools such as DOORs and JIRA

Working knowledge of the Waterfall methodology

Working knowledge of the Agile methodology

Experience within the SIGINT or Fusion domain

Experience in modeling and simulation and performance analysis

Knowledge of Software Architecture, Database, Webservers, Distributed Systems

Strong teamwork and problem solving skills

Test Engineering experience

Experience with SysML and/or UML

TS/SCI considered a plus

Security+ certification is considered a plus
