Job Description

The Systems Engineer will analyze and define the business and technical requirements of complex / converged network architectures. The Systems Engineer is responsible for leading deployment of customer projects. This can cover the technical deployment and integrity of a solution, customer satisfaction and success, and documenting project and/or complex designs. This position will deliver customer solutions, along with corresponding documentation, and assist with development of technical design collateral.

Essential Functions

* Deploys, migrates, and documents post-sales engagement with customers based on ConvergeOne best practices
* Works with a world class network integrator
* Delivers support and services to customer's expectations as proposed in Statements of Work (SOW's)
* Troubleshoots high end issues with networking and wireless infrastructures
* Contributes and assists pre-sales in determining specific customer network requirements as needed
* Contributes and assists pre-sales in developing specific network and wireless solutions as needed
* Contributes and assists pre-sales in developing detailed implementation plans as needed
* Contributes and assists pre-sales the sales team with requests for bids/proposals as needed
* Contributes and assists pre-sales in the buildout of the Build-of-Material (BOM's) and Visio's for proposals of solutions as needed
* Contributes and assists pre-sales in verbiage to be considering for inclusion in Statements of Work (SOW's) for proposals, installations and changes as needed

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

* Follows up with Cisco TAC and other vendor for escalation
* Participates in special projects deployment
* Ensures availability for off hours project escalation as needed
* Acts as or grows into an escalation point to junior engineers

Required Qualifications

* Must have knowledge / experience in network infrastructure LAN/WAN, Switching, Routing, and enterprise wireless infrastructures
* Expert knowledge of Cisco Routers (ISR GEN1/2), Switches (including NEXUS and Catalyst Line), Security Appliances (ASA, IPS, ISE).
* Advanced knowledge of WAN Circuits and routing protocols, MPLS, E-Line, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP
* Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting VLANs using CISCO equipment, to include intimate knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol, inter-VLAN routing, IPV6 and trunking with 802.1q
* Strong knowledge of VPN IPSec/SSL solutions and hands-on deployment experience
* In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS, ASA and other technical configurations
* Knowledge of Cisco's IP Telephony and wireless product line. Ability to provision networks for deployment of Cisco IP Telephony and Wireless technologies and how to secure them
* Nexus experience: 9K,7K, 5K, 3K,2K,
* Security (ASA/PCI) experience (Preferred)
* Experience with Cisco Identity Service Engine
* Strong customer facing and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Cisco Certified (CCNA/CCNP) in any discipline

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
* Cisco Certified Systems Engineer (CCIE)
* 7+ years hands on experience in WAN/LAN technologies
