Performs as the highest-level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services. Works independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects. Develops and may conduct training programs. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments/applications. Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system. Requires Bachelors degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience. ManTech is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support our growing USMC programs on MCB Quantico, VA. This is an opportunity to join a cutting-edge, dynamic, growing team that will have a direct impact on the Warfighter. Position requires an active DOD TS/SCI (or SCI eligible) clearance. Basic Program Overview: ManTech is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Enterprise (MCISRE). This is an exciting opportunity to provide reliable SCI network access to deployed Marine Corps units around the world. The selected candidate, assisted by a project team and government SMEs, will configure, integrate, test and deploy small form fit servers operating on an SCI network. This will include integrating software in small, form-factor servers, troubleshoot any issues, and training users on its operation. General Responsibilities: Interface with users to understand system operational and accreditation requirements and objectives Prepare all technical information necessary to support the systems accreditation and Authority to Operate (ATO). Coordinate with the Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense organizations for access to assets/scan tools necessary for system compliance. Assist in developing documentation necessary for deploying, training, and maintaining the system through its lifecycle. Integrate COTS/GOTS hardware and software as needed Conduct software integration, troubleshooting and testing as needed. Train users in the operation of deployable servers and laptops. Provide technical expertise for Tier III services. Provide user support and guidance CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required Other duties as required Mandatory Skills Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (+7 years' experience) TS/SCI clearance is required Must have DOD 8570 requirements for IAT II Experience with Windows Server and its roles and services. Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, systems engineering principles, network/systems design and implementation, DoD 5000, virtualization and cloud technologies (AWS Preferred). Must have two (2) years experience with at least three (3) of the following:-Requirements definition- Modular Testing-Formulating design methodology-Documentation origination- Systems integration and testing to verify required performance- Assessment of change proposals for technical merit- Database design and development- Modular Testing-Formulating design methodology
