Overview

Human Solutions Inc., a Division Oasis, has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer / Integrator. The Systems Engineer / Integrator conducts comprehensive system-wide review and analysis of all aspects of the National Airspace System (NAS) development life cycle, particularly the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, including ATC automation, communications, and navigation and surveillance elements of the NAS. They will provide expertise in the transition of legacy systems to modernized systems. The ideal candidate will also lead engineering teams, perform project planning and scheduling.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills) This candidate must have experience with the following:

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 20+ years of experience.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in engineering (civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, industrial, mechanical, aeronautical, or computer from a college or university with a degree curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); Master's Degree in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience; PhD in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 7 years experience.

CERTIFICATIONS AND TOOLS: N/A

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance

TRAVEL: As needed

* Ideal candidate is a customer-service oriented problem solver with the ability to work independently and as part of diverse teams
* Excellent people skills - able to work with teams of varying sizes, technical abilities, and levels of authority with both internal corporate staff and teammates.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills, organizational, critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, and interpersonal skills are essential
* Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines and changing priorities, has a pro-active attitude and a disciplined work ethic.
* Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and Word

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functionally, the successful candidate will:

* Ability to assess the performance needs of the FAA cloud for use under operational and tactical strategies.
* Provide subject matter expertise to research & mission analysis tasks to include but not limited to the development and execution of prototypes, simulation exercises, operational demonstrations, and operational trials.
* Develop initial high level architecture and high level functional requirements with an Enterprise Services Infrastructure focus.
* Experience with FAA SWIM.
* Experience with FAA Cloud Services.
* Experience with En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) system
* Experience with existing cloud architectures used across various industries.
* Experience with information architecture across FAA systems.
* Experience with security requirements in existing cloud architectures.
* Experience with Service Oriented Architecture with the FAA.
* Experience with FAA information exchange models (FIXM, AIXM, and WXXM).
* Experience with concept development and identification of NAS information requirements.
* Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned
