Job Description:
The F-35 Tech Refresh 3 (TR3) Integration & Test (I&T) systems engineer is responsible for supporting integration and test activities at the prime contractor's laboratory to ensure proper system functionality. This will include support for the full F-35 TR3 family of programs-Aircraft Memory System (AMS), Panoramic Cockpit Display (PCD), and Integrated Core Processor (ICP)-throughout the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase and transition to production. This represents over $4B of Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) backlog & pipeline and is a critical enterprise in the Segment.
Job Responsibilities include the following:
* Act as an engineering liaison resource for all F-35 TR3 systems integration and test activities at the prime contractor's laboratory in Fort Worth, TX.
* Provide subject matter expertise to help aid in initial integration activities during install and startup, as well as system troubleshooting or deviations in expected performance seen during operation
* Recommend changes to approach and/or system design, as well as bench test or acceptance procedures, as appropriate
* Ensure that products/projects delivered meet customer requirements and specifications.
* Communicate with other on-site Harris or prime contractor personnel on status, issues, milestones, and successes.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering and 6+ years' experience, OR, Master's Degree in Science or Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience
* 4+ years relevant integration and test experience on complex military systems
* Direct Government customer interface experience (e.g. US Air Force, US Navy, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Integration and test experience on complex hardware systems with a focus on mission computing, memory systems, and/or displays
* A basic understanding of embedded software fundamentals and the ability to code, integrate, and troubleshoot
* A basic understanding of digital engineering (FPGAs, CCAs, PWBs, etc.) process and interfaces with software
* Direct Government customer interface experience (e.g. US Air Force, US Navy, etc.)
* Experience with executing throughout the full Avionics lifecycle including requirements flowdown and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment
* Ability to work well across multiple engineering disciplines
