Responsibilities

Raytheon Information Intelligence Systems (IIS) site in Richardson, Texas has many exciting programs currently nder development in the Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) Product Line. The Systems Engineering and Integration Test (SEIT) organization support these programs with the generation of concept development, trade studies, systems requirements analysis, systems architecture development, systems integration, and requirements verification.

The GIS SEIT team is responsible for full life cycle engineering for government applications which are primarily on classified programs that support the intelligence community. Capabilities include ground systems for GEOINT and SIGINT systems, large-scale data processing and exploitation storage architectures and high performance data handling and processing systems. Additionally, GIS provides expertise in large-scale systems development, integration and deployment of high-performance SIGINT and GEOINT systems, missions and resource management, information management, visualization, knowledge discovery and advanced analytics.

Job Description:

This position is for an early career Systems Engineer with technical and communication skills achieved from advanced education and/or experience with the systems development process. The ideal candidate will support ongoing and emerging programs by providing requirement analysis and hierarchical decomposition, development of system architecture and assist in the planning and coordination of system delivery to customer/user site.

Responsibilities:

Duties include correction and update of documents, regular contribution to presentations, support design reviews, support customer requests for information and recommend appropriate configuration, equipment and software changes to satisfy requests and system integration and test support. Candidates must be professional, self-starters and possess a positive attitude. Willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and be willing to recommend improvements to both.

Required Skills:

* Systems Design, Integration and Test experience; utilization of the Systems Development process
* Hands on experience with Software Development
* Proficient in Windows and/or Linux
* Proficient with Java skill set

Security Clearance

* A current US Government TS/SCI clearance is required for this position with US citizenship
* Note: Candidates with a current TS/SCI security clearance or higher are eligible for a sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon.

Desired Skills:

* Computer Science and Software Engineering backgrounds
* Applicable experience; previous internship experience
* Coursework on technical writing, modern application architectures or methodologies
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment

Required Education:

A Master's degree obtained within the past 18 months or by December 2019 in Computer Science, Systems/Software Engineering or a closely related STEM field. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired. Please include your transcript with your resume.
