Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Architecture Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX.

The selected candidate will provide system engineering design and analysis support for a fielded missile product line with over 25 variants. This engineer will apply the Systems Engineering process to analyze and understand our existing processes, tools, work products, and transactions. This data to be captured into a modeling environment, to study our own architecture for improvements and efficiencies.

Duties include:

Evaluating, updating and documenting System Engineering and Business processes. As the process is evaluated and documented, seek to implement and improve on Model Based Engineering processes and interfaces.

Strong collaboration with a team will be needed to ensure that all stakeholder needs are captured and validated.

Performs analyses for total systems at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related discipline with 2 years of related experience or no experience with a related Master degree.
* Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
* Proficiency in the use of general Windows-based PC applications, to include the Microsoft Office suite.
* Systems engineering experience supporting technical programs.

Desired Skills:

* Experience capturing process development decisions into trade studies, architecture documents and requirements.
* Requirement management including a tool, such as DOORs.
* Documenting architecture including both physical and functional.
* Creation and maintenance of access-controlled document repositories.
* Experience working with sub-contractors, customers, and/or cross-functional teams.
* Data Analytics and KPP development.
* Risk Management experience.
* Familiarity with military systems, including missiles, sensors and their sub-systems, such as solid rocket motors, control actuation systems, navigation systems and similar.
* Experience documenting architectures and processes.
* Experience in eliciting and managing requirements.
* Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proficient in preparing detailed schedules and performing oral presentations.
