Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Wireless Advocates is a third-party provider of wireless products and services both online and in approximately 600 retail locations nationwide. Together with Fortune 100 channel partners and wireless carriers, our knowledgeable teams of on-site wireless professionals deliver high-value products and services, helping consumers connect and communicate every day. Wireless Advocates operates retail kiosks and online sales activities for our retail partners: Costco Wholesale, Army & Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES), Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), and Navy Exchange (NEX).

The Systems Engineer assists in development, and maintenance of the design and integrity of Wireless Advocates' and Car Toys' nationwide retail systems; including customer-facing, hosted, and cloud environments. This role provides expertise in systems engineering and operations to a diverse group of business stakeholders, engineers and technologists. The Systems Engineer, under the guidance and direction of the Senior Systems Engineer; designs, plans, and implements projects, and maintains and oversees all Enterprise technology. Technologies include but are not limited to Linux, Windows, Open Source, Microsoft Cloud, and other hosted systems. As a key member of the Infrastructure Team, the Systems Engineer works independently and as part of a team to develop project and infrastructure roadmaps; plan and implement project timelines; establish test plans; recommend and implement new technologies; and works with other technologists to define integrated solutions, considering overall costs, quality, maintainability and services. Determination, flexibility, and creativity are required in order to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Provide technical services and support for the following areas:

* Internal systems, cloud and network infrastructure
* Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint
* Virtualization technologies: VMware, and Microsoft
* Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services
* Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications
* Design and implement systems and business solutions
* Provide Tier 3 support and be an integral member of complex problem resolution
* Develop and document on Enterprise Systems Policies, Standards, and Procedures
* Set standards and document maintenance for all IT systems infrastructure
* Coordinate special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Exchange Server
* VMware ESXi 6.0 or greater
* Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, and 2016
* Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)
* Network storage technologies (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FCOE)
* Citrix XenApp (7.6 LTSR) preferred
* Citrix NetScaler Load Balancing preferred
* Veam Backup and Replication or solid backup technology experienc
* Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, File Services, NPS, RDS, IIS, Group Policy, SFTP and FTP
* Teams, Dynamics365, MDM, MAM preferred
* PowerShell scripting skills and intense desire to automate tedious tasks
* Proficiency in at least one cross platform scripting language such as python, bash or ruby
* Experience with enterprise storage systems and best practices in business continuity and high availability
* Minimum 5 years of extensive technical engagement in complex Windows Server, Lync, Exchange, SQL Server and/or Dynamics AX environments
* Technical certifications highly desirable
* Demonstrated ability to proactively and reactively respond to, analyze, and resolve critical systems impacts
* Demonstrated ability to make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
* Demonstrated ability to follow direction, stay on task and seek direction and knowledge when needed. Desired:
