What You'll Get to Do: LGS Labs has a unique opportunity to directly solve problems with our core customers. The successful candidate will develop new concepts, run tests and demos for customers, and will apply a broad spectrum of technologies to specific problems.

More About this Role: The System Engineer will independently provide systems engineering and interactive customer problem solving for LGS Labs that supports U.S. Government DoD and Civilian communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Lead systems engineering for specific customer systems
* Tie LGS Labs capabilities to customer problems, complete systems analysis, modeling and simulation of processing systems and demonstrate systems via simulated and/or real data input
* Validate new concepts and technologies with customer mission sets
* Travel to other LGS Labs Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
* Perform other duties as required
* Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics or an equivalent combination of skills, education and experience.
* 10+ years of experience in customer mission areas
* Knowledge of custom government systems and tailoring of commercial systems
* Knowledge of wireless and wireline protocols, real-time embedded HW & SW systems, signal processing applications, RF systems, digital systems, spectrum capture platforms, data fusion / mining, location services, processing frameworks, intelligent RF front-ends, advanced physical layers
* Experience with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems
* Demonstrated experience with tactical communications systems and technical operations
* Experience interacting with customers, development teams, and program managers
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges
* Demonstrated ability to work within geographically separated teams

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Knowledge of Agile processes and tools
* Knowledge of technical security best practices
