The systems engineer on the Canyon team will be a member of an agile scrum team, participating in daily scrums, sprint planning, release planning, and demonstrations. They must be able to communicate effectively with the team, work through roadblocks and resolve issues quickly.

The qualified individual should have a broad systems engineering skillset, and would have the following responsibilities:

* Direct and manage software releases through full life cycles as a project lead
* Develop of Acceptance Criteria for agile stories
* Track status and brief to management and customers
* Work closely with customers, users, and developers to define required changes to system requirements, manage requirements in DOORS
* Assess ICDs, RFCs, ops procedures, and training material for impacts as a result of changes to the software baseline
* Author technical documentation like ICDs, test procedures, operations procedures, and CONOPS.
* Support system and element-level trades and engineering studies
* Manage Risk and Opportunity process for the program
* Author BOEs in support of RFPs and other program related capture efforts

Must have at minimum an active TS/SCI security clearance to start. Maintaining a TS/SCI Clearance throughout the course of employment is a requirement.

Basic Qualifications:

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences
* Ability to properly prioritize, status, and work multiple tasks
* Effective problem solving skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project or similar tools

Desired Skills:

* Familiarity with Agile software lifecycles
* Experience with program planning environments where a multitude of resources are all contributing to the final product
* Systems Engineering background for thorough understanding of interdependencies and entry/exit criteria for various stakeholders and priorities
* RFC analysis and impact assessment, trade study definition/execution.
* Agile process experience
* DOORs experience
* Interface management experience
* Mission Management domain experience
* Control Account Management (CAM) experience
