Altamira is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team to support new opportunities in Dulles, VA. This junior systems engineer position supports the UAV ground control system design and test team.

Position requires 2+ years of experience and a BS in engineering or related scientific degree.

As a Systems Engineer, the employee will be performing the following:

* Develops system specifications and development of requirements
* Support design, integration, testing, and delivery lifecycle
* Solves problems and identifies, communicates and resolves issues
* Supports the integration of software, hardware and COTS equipment
* Develop test methods including automated testing
* System testing to validate customer requirements
* Write operations manuals and work instructions
* Provides regular status reports for assigned tasks

Desired Qualifications

* UAV domain experience
* Experience with requirements tracking tools like DOORS
* Experience with tactical sensors such as Radar, Active and Passive RF or EO/IR
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Automated test script development

Required: US Citizen with SECRET clearance
