Do you have a passion to get humans back to the moon and eventually to Mars? NASA has developed the "Exploration Campaign" that includes steps for the development of the Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway. Jim Bridenstine, NASA Administrator, said: "The glory of the Gateway is that it's not just for the moon. In future years, it is the best point from which to go deeper." The first element of The Gateway is the Power Propulsion Element (PPE) and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. The PPE program is looking to build a core team of highly motivated engineers excited to be working in a fast pace, dynamic environment. This is a rare opportunity for you to help NASA meet the challenges of the first step in achieving that "long-term presence at the moon" and the stepping point for human missions to Mars.

This req is for a position in the PPE program Architecture and Mission Design group.

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience with the overall system engineering process
* Experience with Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Word)
* Experience using DOORS or similar tool as a requirements management database
* Bachelors degree in a technical or related discipline to description above, or equivalent education and experience

Desired Skills:

* Experience with technical project leadership
* Prior exposure to major systems engineering design reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR
* Experience supporting architecture development activities on programs
* Experience with DOORS and requirements management and traceability
* Strong social skills including public speaking and ability to work effectively in a team environment
