Designing and configuring cloud architecture can be daunting. With AWS Elastic Beanstalk developers and system administrators can easily create infrastructure and deploy cloud-based applications in a matter of minutes. Beanstalk supports many different language runtimes and software platforms including Ruby, Golang, Docker, Java, Python, Node.js, and .NET. The Platforms team is responsible for curating and building these platforms and making them globally available across the 20+ AWS regions supported by Beanstalk.
We are seeking experienced engineers to help in our mission to provide the best cloud-based web application platform for every popular language runtime. Our customers are other developers and our code is responsible for managing their applications on EC2 virtual machine instances. With 10+ supported platforms, you will have opportunities to work with many different technologies and tools. As a Systems Development Engineer, you will own the systems and infrastructure we use to reliably build, package, and deploy Beanstalk platforms. You will also leverage your expertise of on-instance automation to improve the customer-facing logic within our platforms.
To succeed in this role, you should be deeply familiar with the deployment and administration of cloud-based web applications in at least one popular language runtime, such as Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js, or Golang. You love to automate common tasks and use metrics to monitor systems for problems and bottlenecks. You enjoy teaching and mentoring others, and helping them grow into better engineers.
If you are interested in cloud computing and want to build robust systems that thousands of customers rely on, join us in making Elastic Beanstalk the best application deployment and management solution for AWS!
