Amazon is building some of the largest distributed systems in the world, and we need you to help make these successful. Amazon DynamoDB is key-value and document database that delivers single-digit millisecond performance at any scale and it is a critical piece of todays internet.

AWS is growing extremely fast and we are seeking a driven Systems Development Engineer (a.k.a SRE - Site Reliability Engineer) to help us not only maintain this growth but accelerate it! As an engineer in this position, you'll be responsible for helping to develop and manage the DynamoDB Edge components. You'll also be developing next generation software to handle the increasingly large, heterogeneous fleets allowing us to manage & operate it simply, safely and at a scale that few other services achieve - a difficult task indeed!

The ideal candidate will be passionate about large-scale distributed services in general as well as the opportunity that DynamoDB presents. They will be passionate about the DynamoDB networking performance and scalability, automation, potential of cloud computing, and about building simple and elegant software solutions to complex problems. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality solutions in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly.
