Your Impact

This team is accountable for platform architecture evolution to meet the evolving needs of different business lines globally with rapid software deployment. As stewards of critical components in order execution and post-trade, the team is accountable for a high degree of software quality. The team consists of self-guided pragmatic individuals who are motivated to change the status quo in calculated ways.

As a member of the team, you will play an integral role on the trading floor. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for technology and the markets, with individuals who thrive in a fast-paced changing environment. The team takes a data driven approach to decision making and you should be willing to participate in the full product lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, support, and monitoring trading performance for systems and strategies used by our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

* Design and implement low latency compute and network infrastructure for trading applications
* Escalating and mitigating execution risks/issues to minimize impacts to the projects
* Leveraging technology and tools to streamline processes
* Tracking incidents and deliverables
* Driving problem management and engineering solutions

Basic Qualifications:

* Linux system administration skills
* Experience with a configuration management system, such as Ansible or CFEngine
* Scripting skills w/ Python, BASH, and various other Linux tools
* Extensive knowledge on low latency topics -- NUMA, kernel bypassing, ptp, etc
* Extensive experience with vendor & client onboarding
* Strong communication (verbal and written) and analytical/problem-solving skills
* Hands on operational experience of delivering business solutions from concept to production ready

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field
* Proficient in Excel for modeling data
* Proficient in PowerPoint to visually represent the data and communicate the key points
* Sound knowledge of UNIX and TCP/IP fundamentals
* Requirements elicitation and specification, breaking down activities into component tasks
* Ability to coordinate and track aspects of onboarding new clients and connectivity onboarding, deploying new network infrastructure, executing platform upgrades/enhancements in an enterprise environment
* Ability to drive automation to improve efficiency and scalability
* Understanding of network design, including routing protocols - BGP, OSPF, etc
* Passionate in improving latency by looking across multiple stacks with engineer peers
* Interest in financial products and topics
