Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Analyst to join The MSK Research and Technology Management IT (RTM IT) team and help us organize the many IT projects that help support research administration at MSK. Our team is passionate about learning and growing as we work with the MSK community to further our mission.

The Systems Analyst is responsible for the translation of ideas and business needs into detailed business requirements, documentation and test plans to facilitate the successful design and implementation of RTM IT and vendor supported system development, enhancements and reporting. The Analyst works collaboratively to achieve team goals by performing tasks related to technical documentation, testing, quality assurance and user support.

You will:

* Create and update all documentation for RTM IT applications and reports. Learn and understand highly detailed technical and business processes in order to write comprehensive technical and operational requirement documents for IT projects.
* Ensure that user and technical documentations are accurate and up to date.
* Maintain release notes of internally developed applications.
* Draft test case scenarios based on user requirements/ documentation.
* Test software and other computer applications/ reports to ensure they function properly and efficiently, according to defined user requirements.
* Determine acceptance criteria for RTM IT projects and draft test plans and test cases.
* Test the completed functionality from the end user's perspective and ensure all previously completed functionality has not regressed.
* Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Test and review RTM IT's information security in order to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access before deployment. Monitor business user access to systems and reports.
* Conduct periodic security reviews.
* Develop and implement training on IT supported systems and business processes for IT staff and business owners.
* Assist the RTM IT Managers and Director, RTM IT in various project management tasks as needed, including the creation and update of gant charts and other project management tools.

You have:

* Bachelor's Degree 4-7 years
* QA for information systems, technical writing or equivalent position
* IT background is preferred
* Superb communication and writing skills
