Overview

Under limited supervision, the Systems Analyst will gather data and perform analysis activities related to a variety of business applications within the IT-Enterprise Solutions department. Reporting to the Director, IT-Enterprise Solutions, the Systems Analyst will assist in design and testing of applications, provide support and training to end users and will assist in the coordination of project management activities

Responsibilities

Performs Systems Analysis/Database Support, Implementation and Training activities for business applications:

* Provides technical training, guidance, and resource support to end users and departmental staff.
* Serves as liaison between technical teams, external vendor teams and business users.
* Performs analysis tasks and makes recommendations for improvements and efficiencies. Looks for trends in order to solve recurring business problems.
* Provides business application support and plans for rollout of enhancements to existing applications. Defines system requirements, priorities, and recommends viable alternatives. Coordinates the efforts of internal and external team members to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain applications.
* Manages change management protocols and maintains proper documentation in accordance with SOX guidelines.
* Troubleshoots interface issues between business applications.
* Coordinates data conversions and upgrades to applications.
* Develops user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems and provides training on an as needed basis.
* Create reports and analyses based on ad hoc requests.
* Interfaces and coordinates work with external auditors and other consultants as needed.
* Continues to develop professional skills in information systems and real estate fields through manuals, seminars and continuing education courses.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields. Minimum of 2 years' experience in systems analysis and/or programming. Knowledge of information systems and databases, including familiarity with financial/business applications and property management applications. Basic understanding of SQL including query and basic report writing. Experience in real estate and/or relevant business applications preferred (experience with Yardi Voyager is a huge plus). Proven ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing analysis tasks. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have ability to prioritize, communicate and organize projects of varying complexity, frequently under deadline pressure. Positive attitude, flexible and ability to work independently and in teams, successfully interacting with business users and non-technical personnel.
