Roles & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Academic Systems, the Systems Analyst II leads and takes part in initiatives to design and implement new information systems and applications in support of the School's students, faculty and administrative staff. Specific responsibilities include:

* Works with client management and other stakeholders to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes for diverse platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.
* Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution for systems design.
* Formulates logical statements of business and devises, tests and implements efficient, cost-effective application program solutions (e.g., codes and/or re-uses existing code through the use of program software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions).
* Prepares user requirements, project plans, prototypes, timelines, user acceptance test plans, and other related documentation.
* Provides active support to operational processes for on-boarding incoming students.
* May give some direction and guidance to other systems analysts and programmers.
* May act as a project leader.
* Resolves end-user issues, identifies and documents problems for escalation to appropriate teams.
* Trains end-users in using system-related applications.
* Extensive communications with stakeholders and management (i.e., written communications - status reports, email updates, etc., as well as verbal presentations, leading meetings, etc.) regarding project status, system capabilities, issue resolution, etc.

Requirements:

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Three or more years of experience in systems analysis and application software development.
* Experience with Windows Server 2012 or higher is required.
* Hands-on experience with database technologies and SQL is required.
* Project management experience, including working within tight project deadlines, is required.
* Experience with educational technology and/or working in a higher education environment is a plus.
* Experience with Angular is a plus.
* Ability to effectively interface with a diverse community of end users and constituents is critical.
* Ability to adapt quickly to new and emerging technologies.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer service and support skills.
* Self-motivated, able to multi-task and to excel in a fast-paced academic environment
