Job Description

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Systems Analyst in San Diego, CA. Anticipated travel is minimal (<5%). Salary is commensurate with experience. The candidate must have a DoD Secret clearance.

The Marlin Alliance Inc. is a woman-owned small business that provides business transformation consulting, professional services, and technical support to government clients.

Duties/Responsibilities

The Systems Analyst researches problems, plans solutions, recommends software and systems, and coordinates development to meet business needs. They will be familiar with a variety of programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. Because they often write user requests into technical specifications, the systems analysts are the liaisons between all levels of the organization. They may be responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation time-lines. The Systems Analyst will be required to perform following duties:

* Project management, including the ability to balance competing projects concurrently.
* Interact with customers to learn and document requirements to produce business requirements documents.
* Write technical requirements from a critical phase.
* Interact with designers to understand software limitations.
* Perform system testing.
* Document requirements or contribute to user manuals.
* Operate, install, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of highly technical computers local and wide area networks equipment and peripherals.
* Systems analysis and information system concepts, techniques, and operating principles.
* Program specification, design, testing and prototyping; development of department- or enterprise-wide database warehouses.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

* Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience is required.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates
* Exhibits outstanding organizational and workload management, interpersonal and teambuilding skills

Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years experience, preferably in the Government contracting environment.
* Requirements Management experience.
* Possesses a working knowledge of network security.
* Shore installations experience.
