Overview

Overview:

Support development and sustainment of PL AMIS products to include Transportation Coordinators'-Automated Information for Movements System II (TC-AIMS II) and Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV) systems. Duty Location is Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities may include:

* Provide strategic program management support of scope, schedule, and quality of client software development initiatives to include system planning, testing, fielding and sustainment.
* Apply Agile methodologies to support development and groom product backlog, maintaining thorough technical and functional knowledge of client products.
* Responsible for grooming/managing product backlog based upon customer need, technical capabilities, and client priorities ensuring teams receive clear guidance to deliver value to client and customers.
* Write complete and detail-oriented product requirements documents and user stories, to clearly communicate requirements to geographically distributed development teams.
* Collaborate with development team to articulate product needs, acceptance criteria and provide rapid feedback.
* Participate in project planning, daily standup meetings (scrums), demos, retrospectives, sprint planning, release planning and other Scrum-related activities.
* Develop training materials and conduct end-user training and product demonstrations.
* Work with a diverse set of contractor and government personnel to track, manage, and resolve technical issues.
* Respond to and resolve customer incidents/problems through application of problem analysis/root cause analysis.
* Lead integrated product teams (IPTs) to coordinate efforts across a diverse group of geographically dispersed stakeholders.
* Ensure projects are completed within applicable estimated time frames and budget constraints through coordination of project approach, methods, and resourcing.
* Review project deliverables and work products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Technical expertise and experience with implementation of information technology programs. Demonstrated knowledge of the software development lifecycle with over 10 years of experience.
* Experience with Agile development methodology and industry standard software development and code quality tools (such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube etc).
* Bachelor's degree in this field. BA/BS in management science, operations research, logistics, engineering, information systems, or similar technical/scientific discipline required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of US Army Transportation/Logistics business functions and business operations, strategies, and objectives desired.
* Experience with distributed development teams which span multiple geographies, time zones, and cultures.
* Experience using configuration management / IT service management tools such as Serena Business Manager and BMC Remedy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customer/end user focus.
* Excellent interpersonal and listening skills required including the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
* Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing demands, adapting behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
* Strong planning skills and ability to initiate develop and effectively manage concurrent multiple tasks, projects and strategies with little or no supervision. Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects within assigned deadlines.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
* One or more Agile certifications such as PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Scrum Alliance, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other.
* Secret security clearance required.
* Must be available for occasional travel.
