Job Description

Invitation Homes is seeking a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the Infrastructure, Application deployment, Enterprise Data Services, and Network Management. This individual will also be responsible for working closely with all teams to ensure adherence to defined technology strategies, architecture and security standards, while meeting business needs. This individual will collaborate directly with the business to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support added technology solutions. This position will report to the Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for cloud platform design and maintenance
* Maintain servers, hardware, software & network equipment
* Participate in IT change management and asset management processes
* Document incident resolution into the appropriate ticketing systems
* Document Infrastructure changes within the environment
* Interact effectively with others and clearly communicate verbally and in writing
* Escalation for support teams on system related issues.
* Participates in compliance activities such as audit log collection, analysis & reporting
* Perform system maintenance, including patching and updates, improvements & job monitoring.
* Responsible for monitoring and alerting systems of all systems.

Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate. Work Environment

Standard office working environment that may be busy and noisy at times.

Education and/or Experience

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience providing support for cloud server environments.
* Understanding of virtualization concepts including ESXI, AWS EC2, or similar
* Minimum five years of experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent role
* Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2012R2 Operating systems
* Experience with Linux Server Operating systems
* Experience administering and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory
* Experience creating and running PowerShell scripts
* AWS Experience - EC2, IAM, S3, & Key Management preferred
* Azure Experience
* Experience with Server backup & disaster recovery tools
* Experience with networking concepts including VLAN, VPN, Static Routing, QoS, Content Filtering and general administration

Required Licenses or Certifications

* None

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

* Knowledge of IT concepts, best practices & procedures
* Experience creating and running PowerShell scripts
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work individually, or in a team environment
* Working experience in a SOX controlled environment
