Job Description

Position SummaryThe Systems Administrator is responsible for the following activities: Perform systems monitoring, updating, patch management and antivirus definition management and scanning in both S&I and EUC areas; analyze and report on performance metrics. Troubleshoot and provide tier-one server and systems support. Administer account management services for Active Directory, Citrix, and other systems environments. Assist senior S&I and EUC personnel in configuring and testing and supporting the complete range of server, storage, backup, and recovery systems. Serve as liaison to the Service Center team in utilizing and supporting systems management tools. Perform file and records management services; track and update vendor management, software licensing, and software revision level records. Conduct training on systems management and tools for Service Center staff. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or some related field. Required Experience:2+ years related experience or equivalent combination with system administration including installation, maintenance and support. Preferred Experience:1+ years experience with incident management using problem management tool (ServiceLink) and experience with Production support activities. Related experience or education with any of the following: operating systems, servers, hardware, network administration, authentication systems, client server applications, designing/developing system enhancements and software applications, programming experience with modern languages and, application software, protocols, tools and utilities. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Familiarity with multi-vendor hardware/software management, security, network/Internet protocols. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of VMware, IIS and SQL, Citrix. Related knowledge of, or education in any of the following: problem identification/resolution, performance management/tuning. Knowledge of related large-scale computing systems and/or product installs and maintenance. Ability to provide technical support for complex, large-scale computing systems projects. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience. Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
