In the role of Systems Administrator, you coordinate changes, provide regular maintenance and support, and improve performance of responsible systems. You'll have the opportunity to design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. This position contributes to our vision by:

* • Maintaining and improving delivery systems availability, functionality, and performance for multiple systems;
* • Providing leadership for major system modifications and installations;
* • Applying appropriate security measures;
* • Performing data backups and disaster recovery operations;
* • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system problems, replacing defective components when necessary;
* • Planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware;
* • Operating consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use;

Job requirements

Safran Electrical & Power looks for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment.

* • Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
* • Requires at least 5 years of VMware, Storage and Windows Server experience
* • VMware VCA, VCP; NetApp NCSA, NCDA, NCSE, EMC Data Storage Systems Administration Specialist/Expert, and/or Citrix CCP-V, CCA-V certifications preferred
* • Prefers at least 5 years server hardware maintenance and support
* • Requires expert knowledge in data storage solutions and administration (NetApp and EMC preferred)
* • Requires advanced knowledge of server/storage hardware and Windows Server concepts
* • Requires advanced VMware administration, including a high proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms. Must be adept at network engineering, with working knowledge of firewalls, servers, networks, and operating systems
* • Requires advanced Citrix App and desktop virtualization
* • Must be a US Citizen due to government contract requirements
