System Security and Cyber Security Engineer - 4030

Job Description

Millennium Engineering and Integration (MEI) is seeking a Full-Time System Security and Cyber Security Engineer in the El Segundo, CA area. The position supports the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) at Los Angeles Air Force Base. The candidate will support the certification of New Entrant Launch Service Providers.

Responsibilities include:

* Develops and executes system security and cyber security audit plans iaw NISPOM and applicable system and cyber security guidance, requirements, and policy
* Assesses New Entrant compliance with system security and cyber security, identifies risks and risk mitigation plans, reports on schedule status.
* Coordinates the activities of the launch site system and information assurance (cyber security) personnel
* Interfaces with on-site certification representatives to include USAF, Government, New Entrant, FFRDC, and other Government agencies
* Applies company quality assurance requirements to all certification products, reports, and reviews.
* Reports status of system and cyber security activities and products.
* Other Duties as Assigned

Required Qualifications:

* 10 years of experience applying DoD system security and cyber security requirements to DoD systems and/or equipment
* BA/BS degree; will consider less experience in lieu of advanced degrees and more experience in lieu of degree
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
* Experience interfacing with computer-based database and schedule tools
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* US Citizenship Required

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience with space and/or launch systems

Clearance Requirements:

* Active Secret clearance
