The incumbent plays an ongoing key role in the development and maintenance of hospital billing databases which enhance automation and provide key performance indicators for leadership to make operational decisions.
Salary Range:
Rate Minimum $73,000.00 Maximum $131,500.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to customize Business Intelligence tools to meet user needs
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and develop and recommend new processes as needed
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to read and understand intent of regulatory documents to be able to assess impact on current operational processes
Ability to think critically and problem solve independently and/or collaboratively as the situation dictates
Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, templates and analytical views
Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify priorities and manage workload accordingly
Advanced knowledge of database design, information modeling, and SQL
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification in an EPIC data model: Revenue Data Model, Clinical Data Model and/or Access Data Model
Demonstrated experience in database management, including developing and maintaining database software, providing data entry, and generating reports
Detailed knowledge of registration, billing and collections processes and data requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience with Transact SQL scripts and relational and multidimensional database designs
Minimum 2 years working in SQL programming in a healthcare or financial setting, with demonstrated experience using analytics effectively to transform data to information
Minimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a hospital based environment utilizing an automated Patient Accounting system
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize key information clearly and concisely
Strong knowledge of healthcare automated systems utilized in a Business Office environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Project management experience
