What you'll be doing...

The Global Real Estate/Global Supply Chain Systems team at Verizon is looking for SMTS (Senior Member of Technical Staff) -Sys Anly & Prg for the Global Supply Chain organization. This position is responsible for developing and supporting GSC Procurement through identifying, valuating and prioritizing procure-to-pay solution innovations and improvements, as well as ensuring their timely execution.

The successful candidate will work as a subject matter expert of ARIBA responsible for effectively linking procurement strategy to IT solutions and provide technical and solution support to business stakeholders. The successful candidate will partner with procurement managers and business analysts who provide business requirements and business intelligence for various procurement initiatives. This person will also be responsible for the business and systems support for ARIBA procurement, including the linkage between multiple applications.

This role will require extensive partnering with third party developers, Procurement, AP, IT as well as a variety of stakeholder groups across VZ and external vendors.

The successful candidate will have extensive ARIBA and ERP systems knowledge.

This position is a strategic role and is the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading the business deployment of procure-to-pay strategies enabling significant savings. Responsibilities include project management, process subject matter expertise to implement solutions, data quality management, business acceptance testing, delivery of training programs, and communication of the improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
* Six or more years of relevant work experience.
* Business application support experience.

Even better if you have:

* Bachelor's degree technical field.
* Knowledge of ARIBA, SAP and PeopleSoft.
* Knowledge of procurement and accounts payable processes, sourcing, supplier management experience.
* Basic SQL report writing skills.
* System training and end user testing experience.
* Strong Access, Visio and Project skills.
* Ability to present approach, justification and business cases to executive management.
* Strong knowledge of Supply Chain systems.
