Overview

Under the supervision of the Senior System Administrator, this position is responsible for providing effective daily installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure to ensure that the operating system hardware, software and related procedures adhere to organization requirements. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes. Review system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Conduct updates, security patches, testing, and planning for next versions of desktop software and window servers.

Responsibilities Analyze and resolve highly complex hardware and software computer system problems in timely and accurate fashion. Responsible for preparing servers (OS installation) for application deployment. Conduct updates, security patches, testing and planning for desktop and server to meet compliance standard, escalate unresolved issues that will affected compliance standard to senior systems administrator. Analyze and resolve desktop management applications (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Windows Server Update Services) deployment failure issues. Monitor, resolve and manage server system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Analyze and resolve missing client applications (Snapcomms, McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise, Microsoft Office 2010). Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for all servers backups and ensures data and programs can be recovered in event of failure with in established recovery time objective (RTO). Responsible for the distribution of client/server software and service packs. Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. Assist Network Administrator with servers and network management. Adheres to all Departmental Policies, including Change Management and Communication. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications A minimum of five years hands on experience in a desktop support, plus a minimum of 2-3 years of experience performing system administration tasks Any combination or education and training equivalent to BS degree in computer science. Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
