JPS Health Network is a $950 million, tax-supported health care system for Tarrant County in North Texas. Licensed for 578 beds, the network includes an acute care hospital and more than 40 community-based clinics, including 19 school-based clinics. John Peter Smith Hospital is home to Tarrant County's first and only Level 1 Trauma Center, its only psychiatric emergency services site and has the largest hospital-based family medicine residency program in the nation. Job Description:

Description: The Systems Administrator plans, builds, deploys, and maintains hosts based on the Windows Server operating system.

Typical Duties:

* Designs, Develops, documents, implements, trains and supports business and clinical systems in response to hospital information system needs.
* Isolates and accesses the potential root causes of technical and application problems.
* Demonstrates organizational skills by prioritizing workload.
* Details documentation of all information regarding incidents and requests in the call-tracking system, as well as accurate documentation of inventory and software process flows within knowledge base.
* Shows dependability through regular attendance, meeting commitments, self-motivating/working independently or in a team environment, and being able to stay focused under pressure.
* Participates in routine and unplanned server or application maintenance. This includes server\appliance installation and cable management, etc.
* Acts as a liaison between other departments or user groups to determine needs and define goals.
* Participates in a 24x7 global support team as needed. On-call rotation to be expected.
* Adheres to daily and monthly metrics as defined by the Director. (Ex: initial response, support turnaround time, customer service survey, etc.).
* Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a system administrator role.
* 5 plus years of experience building and maintaining server platforms running Microsoft Windows operating systems.
* 5 plus years of experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory environments.
* 3 plus years of experience building and managing Microsoft Exchange email systems. Exchange 2010 preferred.
* 3 plus years of experience creating and distributing group policies.
* 3 plus years of experience managing Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services.
* 3 plus years of experience with Symantec Antivirus in an Enterprise environment.
* Understanding of the fundamentals in networking and data communications.
* 2 plus years of experience with Exchange 2010.
* 3 plus years of experience with IIS 6.x\7.x.
Preferred Education and Experience:
* 2 plus years of experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
* 2 plus years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
* Current Microsoft Certified Solutions (MCSE)/Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)/Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification.
