The AWS Commerce Platform Insights organization is seeking a talented Support Engineer for the Intelligence Community's commercial cloud services. The AWS Insights products allow AWS customers to access, understand, control, and optimize usage for cost efficiency. Our product suite includes Cost Explorer, Budgets, Cost and Usage Reports, and the Billing Console. Our teams tackle some of the hardest scalability, performance, and distributed computing challenges in the world. We process trillions of events per month using stream processing techniques (Kinesis), process billions of line items via map reduce (EMR), and manage artifacts through the latest in database technologies (DynamoDB and Aurora). We process big data and provide tools for customers to interactively understand their bills. We also provide the analytics that let customers manage billions of dollars of IT usage and spending. Because we sit at the nexus of all AWS services and interact directly with end-customers, we also work closely across all AWS teams to ensure that we offer a great customer experience.

Your responsibilities include:
* Operate AWS Insights products to ensure the success of customer missions
* Work with business teams to understand customer issues and to investigate, prototype and deliver new and innovative solutions
* Develop scripts and tools for automation of system provisioning, deployment, upgrade, and scaling
* Create monitoring and alarming for crucial system availability and performance metrics
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues
* Roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and do what it takes to deliver results
