Alexa Skills Kit is seeking a Support Engineer to join our international data team to help us improve our systems and services. Your solutions will impact our customers directly! Your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success. High impact production issues affect developers throughout the company, so you get to experience a breadth of impact with various groups.

Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, performing SQL queries, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges. You will support team process improvement initiatives, working with subject matter experts to help implement automation efforts and tooling solutions, and contributing to code review for peers on the team. As you grow into your role, you will take on responsibility for more and more complex solutions requiring greater technical capabilities.

The ideal candidate must be able to design and document solutions for a non-technical audience, work with stakeholders to prioritize the most impactful products, work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to work with software users to identify bugs in tooling and provide solutions that increase efficiency. You must be able to work with your manager to effectively prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.
