IDS International is seeking Interagency (IA) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support training exercises at the National Training Center Training (NTC) in Ft. Irwin, California on a rotational, as-needed basis. Trainers may be based anywhere in the US, as travel to and accommodation at training center locations is provided for the assignment period (typically 2-3 weeks).

SMEs will serve as role players during combat training exercises and are critical in improving the overall combat effectiveness of US Military personnel. SMEs will utilize their expertise to simulate and potentially help develop scenarios to mimic planning, coordination, synchronization, and integration between US Military and various agencies/organizations during combat operations.

Required Qualifications

* Middle management level understanding of Interagency
* Five (5) years of experience with Department of State as a Regional Security Officer/Diplomatic Security Service
* Practical knowledge of IA operations, and operational experience with civilian agencies

Additional Requirements:

* Ability to spend extended periods of time outdoors in tactical field conditions in the NTC Range Complex or other training ranges in all seasons
* Ability to maintain appropriate level of physical endurance and health to operate in austere tactical field conditions under simulated combat operations for extended periods of time
* Ability to operate for extended periods of time under tactical field conditions and under the life-support conditions of the Soldiers in the exercise
* Ability to ride in tactical and non-tactical vehicles wearing appropriate personal protective equipment IAW CTC safety policies
* Ability to tolerate being in the vicinity where training ammunition or pyrotechnics are being employed with great frequency and little to no notice
