Structural Analyst

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Duration: 8-9 months

Job Description:

* Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.).
* Performs pre-dimensioning computations by implementing analytical or digital computation methods and pass judgement on the credibility of the data received and the results obtained.
* Take part in drawing up the measurement plan applicable to the tests, and analyses the results.
* Required experience with structural mechanics simulation software and ANSYS.
* Familiarity and experience with other FEA tools such as NASTRAN, other pre/post processor software, as well as knowledge of MIL-HDBK-5 is also required.
* Candidate must have working knowledge/experience with Computer Aided Design software tool CATIA V5 (preferred) as well as PRO Engineer / Wildfire 4.
* Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.
