Job Overview Responsibilities: The candidate is expected to directly participate in threat analysis, secure systems architecture, protocols development and standardization. The candidate is also expected to develop technical contributions based on those designs and give high quality presentations of them to promote adoption of those designs in standards/industry foras. Attendance in relevant standards/industry working groups with specific focus on security technologies is expected. Consequently, the candidate is expected to be available to travel for week-long meetings (on average 4 to 6 meetings per year are to be expected, distributed between Europe, North America and Asia). The candidate will operate in collaboration with different business units, research projects and product teams within Qualcomm. The candidate will work in an exciting environment with a team of some of the brightest systems and security experts in the industry and will have frequent interaction with other engineering disciplines. Location: Preferred location for the position is San Diego, USA. This position requires a strong understanding of the wireless systems architecture and protocols and/or secure platforms such as smartcards/secure elements and secure execution environments.
