Job Description

Role Summary:Responsible for architecting, designing and developing an automated software verification and validation solution in Java for multiple program teams. Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future software validation and automation with product software architects. Analyze, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future software testing needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.

Own small to large-sized quality and software engineering tasks; and delivers while mentoring and helping team members.

Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.

Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process.

Lead and work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.

Provide leadership and expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project.

Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends in software validation to assist in project development and/or operational support activities

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering (any) and Math] and six (6) years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree experience in a related occupation.

Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering (any) and Math] and five (5) years of experience in a related occupation.

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles

Extensive experience in software testing of Medical Software

Experience designing, building and implementing an automation framework in Java

Experience automating UI actions for both PC and Mobile devices

Business Acumen:

* Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
* Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks

Leadership:

Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members

Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results
