Job Description

OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Staff Research Associate I applicant to join a devoted and enthusiastic team of scientists, working in an internationally recognized laboratory, utilizing neuroimaging to study normal aging, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders. The incumbent will conduct research leveraging imaging data from a variety of neuroimaging initiatives on aging, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS - Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Assist in the design, analysis and implementation of image processing pipelines
* Assist with the development of new machine learning methods for image processing and analysis
* Assist in research, develop and apply solutions to produce new image processing solutions
* Document and provide version control of in-house software for processing and analysis
* Assist with standardized analysis of medical imaging data using programming scripts
* Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in STEM
* Previous work experience
* 1 year of experience in research-related activities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written)
* Proficient skills in programming languages such as R, MATLAB, Python, etc
* Knowledge of biostatistics
* Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
* Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
* Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities to achieve desired goals
* Ability to think creatively and problem solve efficiently
* Self-motivated for a fast-paced learning environment
* Ability to work with population from diverse backgrounds
