Job Description

Are you interested in creating an immersive shopping experience? Do you want to be part of a team pioneering new ways to shop? At Amazon, we relentlessly pursue delighting our customers while they shop at the world's largest online store. Here in the Mobile Shopping team, one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon, we continually innovate with technologies and emerging platforms to enhance customer shopping experiences on mobile devices and on TV. We need a Senior Technical Program Manager who is excited to lead and drive large cross-organizational projects and initiatives for Mobile Shopping. We seek someone interested in working in an entrepreneurial environment, solving complex technical problems and delivering innovative solutions worldwide for Amazon's Mobile Shopping customers.

In this role, you will work directly with the VP, Mobile Shopping and the Mobile Shopping Leadership Team, as well as with software development and product teams, to ensure timely delivery against initiatives, goals and core shopping metrics across diverse areas such as worldwide app feature parity, the technology driving mobile customer experience optimization and opportunities to transform how we operate the mobile business. You will partner with other teams across Amazon and AWS. You will work closely with Mobile Finance and Mobile Growth to compile our critical business and development metrics, summarizing insights for the Mobile Leadership Team to consider and act on as deemed appropriate. You will collaborate with product teams to deliver the best product with a bias for efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resource needs and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, balance business needs with technical constraints and encourage risk-taking to drive customer satisfaction. Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities. You should not only be passionate about delivering extensible on-time solutions, but also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement and mentoring.
