Are you seeking a startup like environment where you can influence the vision, define a plan of execution, and help deliver the next generation of software systems that will support Amazon's fulfillment needs? Do innovative next generation projects excite you?
Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many millions of units of inventory, employ tens of thousands of people, and ensure that customers get what they want when we promised we would get it to them. We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well, while relying on people to handle things that humans do well.
We use innovative technologies to simplify the process by taking advantage of materials handling automation, machine vision, robotics, and machine learning. Our highly scalable distributed systems are designed to handle billions of transactions a year. We are seeking an innovative, intellectually curious, results-oriented technology leader who will be responsible for driving our product roadmap, software development and operations of our systems. In this position, you will guide the efforts of developers across multiple locations as we build the next generation of Amazon's Fulfillment Centers.
As a Product Manager at Amazon, you're responsible for developing and managing products in the fulfillment process where any downtime costs millions. You will act as a bridge between software teams and regional fulfillment subject matter experts to ensure new software and operational process are rolled out on time, meet Amazon's stringent standards, and employ the most cost effective solution possible. You will work directly with the users of your software, to deeply understand the domain and identify opportunities for improvements and optimizations. We are looking for true problem solvers that find practical technology solutions to real problems.
