People Technology's Data Insights team needs a Technical Program Manager with a strong business focus to support our business vision. The People Technology team at Amazon owns projects which support HR business initiatives to continuously improve the user experience of Amazonians throughout the world. Our team is focused on delivering analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions to Amazon HR, people managers, and businesses across Amazon.

This role's scope includes defining strategy and requirements, and leading cross functional development teams from design through delivery. You will be accountable for driving the entire product life-cycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

This candidate should possess verifiable leadership qualities including being proactive, thoughtful, thorough, decisive, and flexible, conducting themselves professionally and with integrity at all times. You will have a strong working knowledge of SQL/RDBMS/BI/DW/Cloud technologies and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Qualified candidates have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.
