Amazon Prime Video delivers streaming and downloadable video content to a wide variety of devices including game consoles, connected TVs, Blu-Ray players, set top boxes and mobile devices such as the Kindle Fire. The catalog contains thousands of titles, including new and popular titles as well as long-tail and self-published content. Prime Video is available in over 200 countries and territories across the globe. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on the Prime Live Streaming and Video Delivery team, you will lead the charge to make video look and sound great for our customers across the globe. You will be responsible for driving our overall Video Delivery Quality of Experience program that includes both back-end service and player initiatives to continuously improve the Prime Video playback experience for Live Streaming and On-Demand products. You will partner closely with Prime Video back-end service and client player teams and Amazon Web Services, and external vendors. Finally, you will oversee our internal and external Content Delivery Network partners, planning for growth, and holding them accountable for performance.

You live and breathe data analysis, and can succinctly and accurately report your findings on product performance, scale, growth projections and operational improvements.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: significant experience developing Internet-scale consumer services, strong technical judgment, exceptional attention to detail, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a deep motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* Drive planning and execution for broad projects that span both domestic and international development teams within Amazon, as well as external vendors.
* Report on status of program deliverables to project stakeholders including executive leadership.
* Collaborate with senior engineering managers and engineers to architect and develop the best technical and operational design and approach, delivering value quickly to customers without sacrificing the long-term.
* Contribute to platform capacity planning, verification exercises, and budgeting.
