Job Description

Amazon Prime, Cross-Category/Channel Marketing (XCM), and Lifecycle Engagement teams are looking for a talented senior technical program manager to lead its privacy initiatives. Privacy and customer trust are of paramount important to us as we continue to innovate and grow our business. The emergence of privacy regulation (such as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation and California Consumer Privacy Act) has brought rigor and structure to managing privacy and has opened up opportunities in this space.

Prime is the world's largest customer membership program and central to the Amazon flywheel. XCM owns and drives Amazon's most important global advertising initiatives, and the Lifecycle Engagement team owns customer lifecycle segmentation and provides Amazon a consistent framework for comparing customer engagement across countries and over time. Our combined organization is home to teams that conceive, build and operate great customer experiences on and off-site, designed specifically to attract customers to Amazon. We obsess about customer trust and ensure that we build products in a manner that maintains our high bar for customer privacy. We are looking for a technically adept leader that can work closely with our product development and technology teams, helping them build products that keep improving on our standards.

You should be a seasoned senior technical program manager looking for a career where you will be able to lead initiatives across numerous teams at Amazon, both within Prime, XCM, and Lifecycle Engagement, and beyond. Your focus will be to help teams design their systems and customer experiences in a manner that upholds our high bar for customer trust. You are able to quickly grasp system design, data flows and other technical aspects of a service. You also enjoy learning and contributing to aspects about the business, legal, or marketing side of a product. You are an excellent translator between various part of the business and the technical teams with whom you work.

This position requires regular communication with business leadership on status, risks and product strategy. Excellent listening, writing skills and strong technical competency are essential. The ideal candidate should focus clearly on both delivery and customers. A successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and great project management and communication skills.
