About Amazon

Job Description

Amazon's Community Engagement and Shopping team is responsible for many iconic Amazon experiences including Amazon Lists, Amazon Reviews and Amazon Ask. These rely on platform services, which enable seamless data integration and information flow among the Community Shopping customer-facing applications. Developing and enhancing these platform services to meet strict SLAs and improve their cost-efficiency is a continuous quest for engineering and operational Excellency.

Amazon Lists and the Amazon List Platform help customers by making Lists an everyday shopping tool, and by inspiring shoppers. Customers think about shopping anywhere and anytime - while making breakfast, while driving home, at work, in the car. We strive to find new, contextually-relevant places to offer List functionality in any of these moments.

As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of the innovations we make in the space working with the team responsible for these changes. You insist on high standards of quality, maintainability, performance, and user experience. You will define and evolve the teams' methodologies for building software solutions at a fast pace while minimizing disruptions. You will control your own destiny in Amazon's ownership oriented culture. As a leader on this team, you will influence and drive architectural and design choices, develop world-class interfaces, and build a scalable, adaptable ecosystem that allows us to invent and launch new features quickly. You should have a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, agility, and creativity, while being able to dive deep into technical details when required.

In this role, you will draw from your deep and broad technical expertise and provide leadership on complex technical issues. You are expected to have an established background in technology product development, excellent project management skills, strong communication skills, and be motivated to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex systems, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building operationally excellent software. You should enjoy working in a diverse environment and the challenge of learning and growing your skills
