Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Technology Manager in the area of platform management, within JJT TS Application Support Organization. The preferred location for this position is Raritan, NJ.

The position's objective is to help develop and communicate platform/tools, processes, standards, and methodologies used in the Data & Analytics (DnA) domain; in support of all business processes areas and in alignment with the overall IT and business strategy. Develop and implement the Data & Analytics roadmap, governance model with specific focus on technology life cycle management; articulating the transition from current to future state, and documenting the strategic intent as a part of any design solution. Continually learn future IT trends and incorporate proof of concepts and innovation programs within strategic roadmaps.

The position requires interaction with business partners to understand the capabilities required by the business & business unit IT. This includes assessing the current state and developing IT strategies that support the business strategies. Develop and manage associated portfolio projects. Includes requirement gathering, estimating resources, project prioritization, collaborate with IT delivery teams for project execution. Ensure project plans are defined and executed to achieve the business and technical objectives. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Global Service Owner BI/Analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage the operation and support of Tableau's global enterprise-wide analytics environment
* Lead Infrastructure architecture design and implementation
* Solve both tactical and strategic problems
* Perform capacity planning for current and future capability needs
* Provide assistance and guidance on integration issues
* Collaborate with other IT Shared Services organizations to ensure priorities and deliverables are fulfilled on-time and on-budget and deliver promised business value.
* Deliver technology innovation and solutions to drive forward the analytics platform strategy plan
* Lead key strategic BI / Analytics initiatives and multi-year, multimillion dollar projects focused on transforming current platform landscapes.
* Lead the proof of concept, business case creation, and product assessment of a suite of technologies for the purposes of establishing a next generation technology pipelines that best suits J&J business needs and provide competitive advantage.
* Evaluate key technology trends and its impact on various business processes. Identify opportunities for areas where technology provides competitive differentiation. Investigate, identify and prototype emerging shared enterprise software technologies.
* Ensure effective communication between teams, internal/external customers, vendors and partners.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the team to identify and optimize existing processes.

Experience with configuration and execution in a warehouse management application and proficiency with Microsoft applications is required. Experience with SAP, material handling equipment, and warehouse control applications are preferred. Project management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

* This position requires a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience and a BA/BS Degree. MBA is a plus.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

* Must have at least 5+ years of hands-on Tableau Administration experience including Installation, monitoring, and updates of a Tableau environment
* Experience with complex multi-server environments
* Experience with High Availability environments (24/7)
* Excellent network and IT infrastructure knowledge In-depth knowledge of the causes and remedies of performance issues
* Demonstrated excellence in consultation, presentation, verbal, and written communications skills.
* Strong track record of technology leadership, experience in planning and managing large and complex shared services platforms.
* The ability to operate effectively with partner IT organizations as well as with third-party IT vendors are required.
* Ability to work across multiple countries and cultures is a must.
* Must have the ability to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively. The ability to define, shape, and help drive strategy to completion while effectively collaborating with others under minimal direction/supervision is required.
* Must have strong relationship building skills, influencing internal and external stakeholders with shared and divergent interests. Experience in a global matrixed environment preferred.
