What we need:

Cetera Financial Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support Infrastructure environment with focus on CITRIX, VMware and Cloud implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the leading technologies, including: CITRIX, VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, Avamar / Datadomain, DELLEMC storage, Microsoft and Linux OS servers, AWS and Azure cloud providers.

What you will do:

* Support of Citrix Xenapp / Xendesktop and VMware infrastructure, including upgrades and capacity planning
* Leading and managing the administrative and design tasks for Citrix and VMware environments
* Work with offshore NOC on deployment and management of servers in a VMware ESXi 6.5 environment running on Cisco UCS and Nutanix hardware
* Manage Citrix Xenapp applications and work with EUC team on deployment and management of VDIs in a VMware ESXi 6.0 environment running on Cisco UCS and Nutanix hardware
* Support Cloud First Initiative by evaluating and leading migration of servers/application to the cloud
* Automate routine tasks as it relates to Server engineering by using Powershell scripts and others
* Monitor Citrix and VMware performance and provide recommendations of continuous improvements
* Independently manage multiple Infrastructure Projects and provide weekly updates
* Create and maintain documentation: logical/physical diagrams, run books, root cause analysis and other technical engineering documents
* Consistently demonstrate initiative and commitment to optimizing systems and processes
* Work with vendor technical support on advanced technical issues
* Supporting a wide variety of enterprise applications and infrastructure technologies
* Train, Mentor, Delegate and provide guidance to NOC L1 and L2 Engineers
* Ability to work after hours, nights, weekends and provide emergency response support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year when required

What you need to have:

* Bachelor's Degree
* 5 years of experience managing CITRIX Xenapp/Xendesktop
* 2 years of experience with building out and managing cloud environment
* · 2 years of experience managing and optimizing Large VMWare environment

* Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering with SQL Server in Virtual environment
* VCP and MCSE Certifications
* Experience managing and optimizing SAN technologies such VMAX / VNX
* Experience designing and managing enterprise storage monitoring systems such as VIPR SRM
* Experience Managing NAS devices for presenting CIFS and NFS
* Experience with CITRIX PVS and managing Persistent and Non-Persistent VDIs
* Experience with Windows 2012 R2 - 2019 Server administration
* Experience with Monitoring solutions such VMware vRealize
* Solid understanding of essential TCP/IP protocols: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and understanding of wider set protocols.
* Solid understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, latency)
* Effective communications and documentation skills in a compliance-regulated environment
* Experience with Multi Active Directory and Group Policy administration and troubleshooting
* Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
