Summary:

The Senior Systems Engineer (SETA) will work with system owners and stakeholders to define the details of Enterprise Service functions and the Application Program Interfaces (API); identify and recommend Enterprise Service evolution to maximize use of Enterprise Services; participate in the evaluation of service design, development and verification; define and execute Enterprise Service integration. The Senior Systems Engineer (SETA) will conduct trade studies and assessments, and develop system-level documentation in conjunction with end users.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide expertise and assistance to the Government Program Manager in the implementation and maintenance of multiple advanced technology programs
* Identify system-level technical requirements to satisfy functional needs
* Create and maintain systems level documentation including System Requirements Documents (SRDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) on multiple systems
* Perform Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) to help the government determine the best available solution to meet its requirements
* Provide Architect enterprise, system and services solutions
* Evaluate technology for suitability in customer environment
* Propose solutions to customers' IT problems
* Organize and host technical meetings and conferences
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science field and 12 years relevant experience OR 15 years relevant engineering experience without a degree
* Expertise in the acquisition of new programs, solicitations and contracting actions
* Demonstrated organizational expertise in large programs or organizations with multiple components and diverse teams
* Demonstrated expertise in writing SRDs and ICDs
* Demonstrated expertise in documenting systems requirements and engineering-level technical architectures
* Active TS/SCI with ability to pass a CI Poly

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to quickly and easily grasp system concepts and communicate their applications
* Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks
* Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time related constraints in a fast- paced contract manufacturing environment
* Must be able to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees
* Ability to travel

* The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
* During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
