Homecare Homebase has hundreds of thousands of users across the United States and we are experiencing incredible growth. Our set of Home Health and Hospice products utilizes a Hybrid cloud model with Microsoft/VMWare/Citrix hosted solution in Datacenters and Azure on the .Net stack and other modern technologies (K8, Angular, etc…). We have offices and co-locate our data center services in Louisville, KY and Dallas, TX.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated self-starter that wants to grow as we grow. As an Sr. Systems Engineer (Linux), your primary responsibility will be to ensure Homecare Homebase success with managing large scale Linux clusters (preference given for RedHat on premise and AKS experience in the cloud).

You will be responsible and hands on throughout the SDLC for the analysis, design, and planning of infrastructure and architecture of solutions from the ground up. A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency in both Cloud and Datacenter solutions. Beyond excellent communication skills your experience will closely map to the requirements and opportunities below for Automation, Cloud Infrastructure Mgmt., and Container Strategy Implementation.

Automation

3-5 years demonstrated experience

* Design, build, deploy, and maintain system automation in the cloud and on premise, supporting both project and operational infrastructure needs (preference given to both IaaS and PaaS experience in Azure)


* Automation and provisioning of storage, compute, and network resources (preference given to both IaaS and PaaS experience in Azure)


* Leverage, support, and advocate the use of a configuration management tools for infrastructure automation across multiple environments (preference given to Azure Hybrid Cloud experience in general and hands on Azure Automation experience )


* Deploy and configure services needed to meet operational and project objectives (preference given to Azure Hybrid Cloud experience in general and hands on Azure Automation experience)-



1-3 years demonstrated experience

* Conduct necessary analysis, design and prepare technical documentation for new toolsets and processes
* Experience managing an automation framework that addresses concerns, such as access control, change management, monitoring/logging of changes, self-service, case management integration, etc.



Cloud/Infrastructure Mgmt.

3-5 years demonstrated experience

* Administration of Linux in a large scale cluster environment (preference given to Redhat experience)


* Administration and deployment of cloud compute, storage, and network resources using leading industry cloud providers (preference given to Azure experience)


* Ability to setup up access control and identity management for users in a cloud environment (preference given to Azure experience)


* Understand how to enable and deploy key services such as HA and disaster recovery e.g. backups, email services, database services, advanced application services, etc. (preference given to Azure experience)



Container/Infrastructure Implementation

1-3 years demonstrated experience

* Experience setting up and managing container cluster networking solutions (preference given to Kubernetes network/ingress plugins experience)


* Deployment, configuration, and management of containers using leading container solutions (preference given to Docker and Kubernetes experience)


* Experience setting up and managing container cluster persistence storage volumes



Education/Certification/Training

* Preference given to industry certifications (CompTIA, RHCE, GCUX. etc…)


* Preference given to Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field


* Preference given to understanding of deployment build tools (Git, Azure DevOps (VSTS), Azure CLI, Release Mgr. and PowerShell).
