Job Description

SAIC anticipates hiring Sr. Systems Specialists in San Diego, CA to provide systems engineering support to SPAWAR programs

* Solve complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions to SPAWAR program and system issues
* Ensure designs fully support requirements and are consistent with customer constraints (i.e. budget, schedule, risk and other organizational/system constraints)
* Perform Systems Engineering activities including: concept of operations (CONOPS) development, requirements definition and analysis, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, operational/system performance analysis, decision analysis, and physical configuration analysis (PCA)
* Analyze timelines, develop trade studies, conduct requirements allocation and interface definition studies translating customer requirements into hardware/software/engineering specifications
* Recommend decisions to Navy leadership and ensure successful completion of program, project, or organizational objectives
* Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
* Secret clearance
* 10 years of systems engineering experience within the Navy/DoD (SPAWAR preferred)
* DAWIA certification in related field (or industry equivalent)
* Experience with System Architecture Visualization Tools (ex. Magic Draw)
* Experience with DOORS requirements database
* Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to meet this requirement.
