Team Summary:

The EAI Integration Team assists in the integration of applications across the Northwell Health community. Our department coordinates the design, build, and testing of interfaces. Acting as the face of Enterprise Application Integration, our team works closely with project managers and application owners to integrate new software or update existing software across the health system.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support for assigned projects within the Enterprise Application Integration department. Leads will plan, organize and control all of the technical aspects of integration projects and changes. In this role candidates are expected to be hands-on working in conjunction with the Development Team, Quality Assurance Team, Project Managers and Application Owners influencing all areas of EAI Integration from a design, development and testing standpoint. Integration Leads collaborate with the PM for timelines, status of SOWs, facilitate mapping calls, and coordinate among internal integration teams. Leads will have the knowledge and ability in the areas of integration design, development, testing, implementation and support, and they use these talents, plus healthcare subject matter domain expertise to guide the members of the integration project team. Integration Leads will be accountable to communicate and cooperate with project participants to ensure the interface aligns with technical, operational, and organizational standards uniquely specified for each project.

Responsibilities

* Lead cross functional integration projects ; acting as subject matter expert and advocate of the application integration.
* Participate in analysis and data mapping to provide functional specifications to development team.
* Lead analysis discussions, brainstorming sessions to understand business requirements.
* Research solution options, gain knowledge of various clinical and non-clinical systems in an enterprise environment.
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple business areas to come to resolution, reconcile conflicts and priorities for operational projects.
* Manage project deliverables and communicate status, readiness plans and priorities to teams and partners.
* Maintain deep awareness of business operations and influence business partners on solutions that benefit the whole company.

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

* BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.

Experience:

* 5-10 years industry experience required
* 5-10 years extensive experience in providing technical support and maintenance in assigned product preferred
* 5 years of analysis, requirement gathering experience on large, complex and/or cross-functional projects in healthcare environment
* Knowledge of ambulatory and clinical workflows preferred
* Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
* Strong Knowledge of HL7, Clinical EMR applications
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Working knowledge of databases and tools i.e. SQL Server, web services, XML , CCD

Travel Requirements:

* May require local travel
* Ability to travel locally to other sites for business needs

Working Arrangements:

* May require after hours on call support
* Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
